Don't want to be added as a subscriber to
BALUG-Announce
based upon our finding your e-mail address(es) subscribed to one or more
of our other lists, but not
BALUG-Announce?
Then drop us a note to:
balug-announce-do-not-auto-add@balug.org
noting which e-mail address(es) of yours we shouldn't add to
BALUG-Announce
and why
(and try to use a clear and relevant non-spam-like Subject: so we don't
accidentally miss or dismiss your e-mail message), and we'll add your noted e-mail address(es) to
our exception list so that we don't add you to
BALUG-Announce
based upon your other BALUG list subscription(s).
In general, if one is subscribed to any of BALUG's lists, one should be subscribed to BALUG-Announce, as it will include important and potentially time-sensitive announcements, etc., which are not also sent to the other BALUG lists. We've created the subscription policy and exception process to help ensure folks don't miss important announcements, and to also allow for individual preferences (e.g. one may want different subscription options on different lists, and one may want to use different e-mail addresses on different lists to aid in sorting/filtering/prioritizing e-mail received).
Getting yourself added to our exception list doesn't prevent one from manually subscribing and/or unsubscribing from any of our lists - it merely prevents us from adding you to BALUG-Announce based upon being subscribed to other BALUG list(s).
If you've requested to be added to our exception list, and later wish to be
removed from the exception list, just drop us a note to the
same address:
balug-announce-do-not-auto-add@balug.org
clearly stating that (and again, also with appropriate Subject:) and for which
e-mail address(es), and we'll remove you from the exception list.
